Audit the books where they're actually kept.

When a client runs on Kayan, its owner can give your firm read-only access to the whole account. Your team reads the live ledger and the records behind it, without waiting on exports.

Kayan checks your licence before your firm can receive requests.

What your team can do once a client lets you in

Read the ledger and statements
Journal entries, chart of accounts, balance sheet and profit and loss, all as they stand now.
Open what's behind the numbers
Orders, purchases, stock, payments and payroll sit in the same account, so you can test a figure against its source.
Check the client's audit log
The log of activity in the client's account is open to your team, along with a record of when your access began and ended.
Export to your working papers
Download the ledger and statements as CSV. A few statement exports depend on the client's plan.
One desk for every client
Requests and clients sit together in the audit portal, each with its access dates.
Your whole team, no client seats
Invite staff by email. They can read every client your firm has accepted and don't use any of the client's seats. Only the firm's owner answers requests.

  • The client's audit log and exports
  • Access until the end date, if one is set

Questions firms ask

Can access be limited to certain modules?

No. Access covers the whole account in view mode, including payroll and employee records, so make sure your client knows that before granting it.

Who can end access?

The client's owner or your firm's owner, at any time. Access also ends on its end date if one was set. Without one, it stays open until someone ends it.

Can we assign staff to specific clients?

Not today. Everyone on your firm's team can read every client your firm has accepted.

Will the public be able to find our firm?

There's no public directory. Your firm is listed for businesses signed in to Kayan when they choose an auditor.

Is the portal in Arabic?

Not yet. The audit portal and its emails are in English today.
